OBITUARY.
MISS M. C. TULLEY
(Special te the “ Guardian.”)
. CHRISTCHURCH, TMs Day. The death occurred recently of Aliss C. AI. Tulley, a ‘ well-known residentin the Riccarton and Fendalton districts, being head-mistress of the latter school for more than 30 years. Aliss Tulley i was born in Canterbury, and was educated at the Riccarton school and at Aliss Sheath’s private school. She lived at Aliddleton with her parents, the late Air and Mrs Charles Tulley, and latterly at Riccarton, where she had a wide circle of friends. Airs H. C. Segers, of Ashburton, is a sister. She was one of the first pupils to attend the St. Peter’s Sunday School, Upper Riccarton, arid was an active member of the St. Peter’s Anglican Church.
During the war Aliss Tulley took a keen interest in the St. John Ambulance work. The funeral took place at St. Peter s Churchyard, Upper Riccarton, in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and frends. The Rev. H. T. York conducted the. services in the church and at the graveside. The pall-bearers were Alessrs Charles Segers and S. J. Thomas (nephews), of Ashburton), T.* Carleton, C. Carleton, Eion AlcQueen, and D. Aleares.
