CLAIM FOR INSURANCE

JUDGMENT FOR PLAINTIFF.

(Per Press Association)

WESTPORT, June 13

The Supreme Court was occupied for the greater part of two days with the hearing of a claim by Janet Mncneil, of Millerton, against the New Zealand Commercial Assurance Company to recover £360 on a house and £l5O on furniture destroyed by fire on November 14, 1932. At the conclusion of the hearing his Honor Mr Justice Blair commented strongly on the action of the defendants in alleging arson attempting to support it with evidence. He said there were good claims against insurance companies and bad claims, and this was one of the good ones.

Judgment was given for the plaintiff for the full amount claimed, with costs.
