Adams Wilson, of the Observatory of Passadena, said that proof that there is not sufficient oxygen in the bands around Mars to sustain life such as we know it on earth had hen supplied through medium of infra-photography. He added that recent developments in photography had showi) clearly that the oxygen content of Mars’s bands was probably less than one-tenth of 1 per cent. Dr. J. S. Plaskert (Victoria, British Columbia) added that- it definitely set aside the idea of life on Mars as we know it on earth.
