The Mambucca River overflowed its banks and flooded the North Coast Road and numbers of motorists between Sydney and Brisbane wore held up. The rain lias ceased and the waters are receding. Rain has ceased to fall in Western Australia and the floodwaters have receded, but many roads and bridges are impassable until they are repaired.
