THE AUSTRALIAN FLOODS. RAIN CEASES TO FALL. (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The flood position on the North Coast is improving. The Mambucca River overflowed its banks and flooded the North Coast Road and numbers of motorists between Sydney and Brisbane wore held up. The rain lias ceased and the waters are receding. Rain has ceased to fall in Western Australia and the floodwaters have receded, but many roads and bridges are impassable until they are repaired.
