This afternoon there was an increase in polling, a large proportion of women voters attending at the booths. Polling will cease at 7 o’clock, when an immediate start will he made with the preliminary counting of the votes. Patterson) at the Borough Counoil Chambers about lialf-nn-hour after the closing pf the poll. The new Borough Council should be known about an hour later. As the results are announced, the candidates interested will address the electors from the windows of the Borough Council office. QUiET POLL AT CHRISTCHURCH. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day.
