MARKETING CHEESE.
A SOUTHLAND PROPOSAL. (Per Press Association) INVERCARGILL, April 4. A new development in the cheese situation here is that a number of factories have considered a scheme for co-operative marketing, whereby thencheese might be pooled and offered to London merchants in such a way that it might be possible to obtain a better price than the general level ruling for New Zealand cheese. The South Island Dairy Association has been approached with a request to call a meeting of dairy factory directors to consider the proposal and the meeting will be held here on Friday.
