THE MOSCOW ARRESTS.
THREE RELEASED ON BAIL. MR MACDONALD DETAINED. (United Press Association —Copyright). (Received This Day, 12.45 p.m.) MOSCOW, April 4. Messrs Thornton, Cushny and Gregory, three of the staff of Metropolitan Viokers, Ltd., who have been under arrest, have been released on bail of 55,000 roubles. Mr MacDonald has been detained. BAN ON IMPORTS FROM RUSSIA. PROVISIONS OF THE BILL. (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) LONDON, April 4. The Russian Goods Imports Prohibition Bilf was introduced in the House of Commons and read the first time. The Bill gives power to prohibit the importation of all Russian goods except by Board of Trade license. In regard to goods which are manufactured partly in the Soviet Union and partly in some other country it has to be proved that 20 per cent, of their value is attributable to processes undergone since they left the Union. The proclamation does hot an" l - to goods for re-export. The measure will come into operation on April 18, the day after the existing trade agreement expires.—'British Official Wireless.
