RECORDS APPROVED. WELLINGTON, April 4. At a meeting of the council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic and Cycling Association, applications for recognition as New Zealand records from the following were approved:— A. A. Cameron (Otago), hop, step and jump, 47ft 6in, at Christchurch, March 11. A. T. Anderson (Canterbury), 440yds hurdles, 56 2-ssee, at Christchurch, March 11. D. Kerr-Taylor, 440yds hurdles, 56 4-ssec, at Auckland, February 18. A. A. Cameron (Otago), high jump, 6ft Ojin, at Wellington, in March. M. R. Spillane (Otago), hammer throw, 153 ft 6in. A. "J. Elliott (Auckland), 100yds, s 9 4-ssec, at Auckland, in February. The application of R. Cameron for recognition of his half-mile walk at Auckland in 1932 was approved. The time was 3min 2 2-ssee.
