ROAD BOARD.

THE LONGBEACH DISTRICT. The Longbeaeh Road Board met yesterday, when there were present Messrs J. P. McQuillan (chairman), W. J. Anderson, H. Watts, A. Moore and L. Maginness. The financial statement showed a credit balance of £l7O 13s 2d The Department of Labour advised .that the statutory half-holiday in the board's district would be Thursday. The Coldstream Road Board wrote agreeing to pay half the cost of the bridge to be erected on Trig-pole Road. The clerk {Mr A. Bushell) reported that the metalling of Johnston's Road should be completed on Tuesday, and that the Public*Works Department had granted a subsidy for the work.
