DENIAL OF NEGOTIATIONS. CHIANG CONTINUES TO RESIST. i (United Press Association—Copyright). (Received This Day, 8.55 a.m.) SHANGHAI, March 14. The Chinese Foreign Minister denies negotiations for J settlement of the 'Sino-Japanese dispute. There is no suggestion that Marshal Chiang Kaishek is likely. to call off his avowed policy of resistance. Whether the Japanese crossed the Great Wall or otherwise, Chinese forces would continue to attack, refusing to discuss Aerms which were undoubtedly dictated by the aggressor.

It is reported that secret negotiations are going on between Chiang Kai-shek and the Japanese authorities in North China with the purpose of reaching an agreement regarding' the border between China and Manchukuo and avoiding further hostilities. The Japanese announce" that 'China must make a prompt decision as they are losing patience over the heavy losses resulting from the daily fighting in the Jehol passes, where the Chinese are being steadily reinforced by Government troops.
