M.C.C. NEW ZEALAND TOUR. NAWAB OF PATAUDI NOT AVAILABLE. SYDNEY, Oct. 31. The Nawab of Pataudi is not going to New Zealand with the English cricket team. He leaves after the Australian tour finishes at Adelaide for India, where affairs of his State depend upon his presence. Pataudi is one of the thirty-four Indian States included in the Punjab. The Nawab, who is now twenty-three years old, holds his Oxford Cricket Blue and has qualified to play for Worcestershire. At the beginning of this year, when the Maharaja of Patiala organised a team to visit England, some surprise was expressed that the Nawab of Pataudi, undoubtedly the best cricketer in India, was not included, but it was understood that he preferred to play for Worcestersshire and be eligible for selection for the Australian tour.
