DIED FROM EXPOSURE.
MISSING DEER-STALKER. (Per Press Association). .DUNEDIN, October 30. The body of Mr John Brindson, the missing deer-stalker, was found about 4.30 this afternoon on the Blue Mountains, near Tapanui. The tragic discovery was made by two deer-stalkers named Pringle and Farquhar, and the body was found on the opposite side ot the mountains to where the search parties were operating. The indications were that Brindson died from exposure a day or to ago. In company with Messrs T. Green, H. Green and W, McClelland, Mr Brindson left oil a week-end deerstalking expedition to the Blue Mountains on Saturday, October 22, and was missed by tlie other members of the party shortly after midday on October 23. His companions conducted a thorough search of the country through which they had passed, but without avail, and at daybreak on the following day a search party again scoured the mountains without success. When word of the occurrence reached the Dunedin Police Station, steps were immediately taken to form a further search party, which conducted an intensive search for the missing man.
