RESCUED AT SEA
PICKED UP EXHAUSTED.
MISSING NAVAL OFFICERS. TRYING TIME IN STORM. (United Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, October 24. The three naval officers, Lieutenants Colin McMullin, Keyes and Blaxlond, who were reported on Saturday to be missing in the Channel in a 16-ft. yacht Little Owl, were rescued by the steamer Romanby, of Hartlepool, bound for Antwerp, where the officers landed yesterday.
When found the officers were in an exhausted condition.
The Little Owl, which was returning to Portsmouth from Le Harve, was in company with another small yacht, the Wallop, sailed by three other officers, including Paymaster Lieutenant McMullin, a brother of one of the missing men.
After encountering terrific seas the officers on the Wallop, who had previously lost contact with the Little Owl, were picked up in an exhausted condition off Selsey Bill by the steamer Mary Glen.
