QUITE A SHARP LITTLE SHOCK. EXPERIENCED’ AT WELLINGTON. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. Quite a sharp little earthquake occurred at 1.17 this morning. Tho records at the Dominion Observatory indicate that its origin was between 80 and CO miles from Wellington in a -outh-wcsterly direction. This won 1 - 1 account for the fact that, Blenheim felt the shake fairly severely. During the ’quake the ground’ tilted to the south.
