TWO MEN GUILTY.
LIBEL ON POLICE INSPECTOR. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, August 2. The retrial of George Build, aged 35, a seaman, and Ernest Frederick Thompson, agent, charged with publishing a criminal libel against John Lander, Inspector of Police at Wellington, took place to-day. Tho jury returned a verdict ol guilty, and added a rider that Thompson was of weak intellect and easily influenced.. Sentence was postponed.
