DOMINION PRODUCE. HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated July 30, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand, London: Tallow—Market quiet but steady at about last quotations. Eggs—Market quiet and prices unchanged. Fruit.—Apples: Consignments per Cumberland, Port Huon and Rangitata cleared. The remainder moving satisfactorily with improved tone in the market. 140,000 cases of Australian apples in the market this week, including 16,000 salved from the Ferndale, which were sold at Liverpool. American Gravensteins now in the market. Current prices for New Zealand apples are: Granny Smith 14s to 20s, Dougherty and Rokewood lis to 13s 0 Yates and Tasma lis to 12s, Sturmer and Statesman 10s to 12s, Pioneer, Brighton and McLiver 10s to lis, Delicious and Jonathan 9s to lis, Cleopatra and Salome 7s to 10s, Statesman, Jonathan and Salome in variable condition, also Sturmers ex Pakeha. Peas—Maples: Market quiet and inactive, with sellers of Tasmanian at 66s 6d to 67s 6d. New Zealand: For July-August and August-September shipment could be sold at from 65s 6d to 665, Blues: Market steady with value of Tasmanian at £l7 15s to £lB, and New Zealand at £l6. Inquiry reported for New Zealand bran and pollard at about 87s 6d pea- ton. c.i.f. BANK OF NEW SOUTH WALES. THE INTERIM DIVIDEND. . WELLINGTON, August 1. The Bank of New South Wales has reported to the Stock Exchange Association that an interim quarterly dividend has been declared of 5s per share in Australian currency, payable at the head office on August 30. The previous quarterly dividend was at the rate of 5s per share. For the June quarter of 1931 it was 8s per share.

The New Zealand Dairy Produce Board has received the following market report from its London office,, dated July 29: Butter—New Zealand, salted 105 s to 106 s, ex 107 s, unsalted 108 s to 110 s: first whey 955, second whey 91s. Australian—Salted 100 s to 103 s, unsalted 104 s to 108 s. Argentine—Unsalted 88s to 945. Danish—9ss f.o.b, 114 sto 115 s spot. Dutch—Unsalted 118 sto 1225. Esthonian—9os to 945. Latvian —9os to 925. Siberian—B6s to 87s Ukranian—B4s. 'Lithuanian —90s to 925. Market quiet. New Zealand and Danish retail price Is 3d. Cheese —New Zealand, white 56s to 575; coloured 545, 55s to 565. Canadian—White and coloured, 57s to 595; c.i.f., 565. English—Finest farmers, 92s to 965. Market steadier. New Zealand retail price Bd. The Board has also received the following advice from its agents in Canada:—Butter: New York, . 19 cents; Montreal, 17£ cents.
