FOURTY-FOUR SHOT.
THE PERUVIAN REVOLT. HUNDRED AND ONE CONDEMNED (United Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 8.40 a.m.) LIMA (Peru), August 1. The Government announced to-day that 44 men were executed last Wednesday at Trujilio for taking part in the.revolt there early last month. The men were convicted by court-martial, taken out and lined up on the trenches they themselves had dug around the city, and shot- One hundred and one were condemned to death, but 57 have not yet been takeninto custody.
