ONE-DAY SCHOOL.
FOR BOYS ON FARMS. OTAGO PROPOSAL ADOPTED. i (Per Press Association). DUNEDIN, This 'Day. A one-day school for youths on farms, suggested by Mr Anderson (principal of the South Otago High School) and approved bv the department, has been heartilv taken no by the Farmers Union.'This will be the first such school in the Dominion. Farmers will be asked to permit one-dav attendance weekly at Balclutha. The course for boys will be entirely practical, embracing stock arithmetic, English, farm methods, elementary economies, stock demonstrations, wool-classing and farm accountancy. For girls a homecraft course will be arranged. There will be no aee limit. The charge will be about a shilling a week.
