TRACKS REPORTED.
TRACE OF MISSING AVIATORS. SEARCH IN WYNDHAM AREA. (United Press Association— Copyright;) PERTH, June 13. Information has been received here from the Drysdale Mission, , NorthWest Australia, that the tracks of two white men have been discovered by native messengers attached to the Mission, 100 miles north-west of Wyndham. The tracks are believed to be those of the crew of the missing Junkers seaplane, which was being flown by HenHans Bertram and a companion from Hong-Kong to Australia. They have not been heard of since their departure from Koepang for Darwi nlast month. A cigarette case on which the initials. "5.8." and some German writing had been scratched with a nail, .and a handkerchief, were also discovered. The tracks were lost on rocky ridges. A West Australian Airways aeroplane now located at Wyndham., and a local, ground party have begun a search of the whole of the North-West. Territory. .

The message on the cigarette case has not yet been translated. Father Cubero's letter said: ( 1 gauge the time when the articles were dropped to be May 26. The natives have been instructed to search for the two men. The possibility of the airmen surviving is in their favour.' The 'country is very rough' and mountainous, but there is plenty of fresh water, fish and game."
A cablegram from Sydney on May 14 stfitcd * ' Considerable anxiety is felt for the safety of. a young German aviator, Hans Bertram, who left Koepans at midnight on Sunday in a Junkers flyingboat, to cross the Timor Sea, according to wireless reports from Darwin, where he has not arrived. Herr Bertram, who is on his way from Hong-Kong to Australia, was expected at Darwin yesterday, and there has been no report N of him since he left. Tho aviator is now much overdue. His machine was not fitted with wireless. ... The authorities are making investigations, and Government wireless stations have asked that a look-out be kept.
