A DULL WEEK-END. ; \>ull weather with scattered showers prevailed in Ashburton over the weekend. 17 points of rain being recorded for the 24 hours ended at 9 a.m. yesterday and one point for the 24 hours up to 9 a.m. to-day. There was no frost yesterday, but one of eight degrees was registered at the Domain weather station this morning. ' The barometer reading' at 9 a.m. today was 29.84 inches, compared with 29.98 inches yesterday and 29.99 inches on Saturday. .. . • . Extremes of temperature yesterday were 46.8 degrees and 31.3 degrees, compared with 50.7 degrees and 38.3 degrees on Saturday. . v?.-TO-DAY'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was issued to-day:— Indications are for northerly moderate and freshening winds. There is. a prospect of fair weather. After about ten hours, the weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled with rain following and milder conditions. The barometer is falling.
