A TELL-TALE BLUSH.
A SUSPICIOUS POLICEMAN. Because he blushed when a policeman looked at him, George Brigden, aged 28, who refused to reveal his address, appeared at Bromley Police Court, London, recently, accused of theft from a house at Sundridge Park. The policeman said that on the strength of the blush he asked Brigden where he had obtained a parcel and an attache case which he was carrying. Brigdm said that his mother, in Queen Street, Beckenham, had given him their contents for his wife and family. But the policeman knew there was no Queen Street in Beckenham, and arrested Brigden, who was sent for trial.
