INCREASE IN LISTENERS. (United Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, June 9. The accounts of the British Broadcosting Corporation show that £857,935 was spent on wireless programmes during the past year. The capital expenditure- amounted to over £907,000 and the Corporation paid £74,000 in income-tax. Its net revenue, which was derived from wireless licenses, exceeded the previous year s figure-by over £200,000. The number of licensed wireless listeners at the end of the year "ivas 4,330,735, an increase of 718,825 in a year.—British Official Wireless.
