AIRCRAFT APPRENTICESHIPS.

Candidates for Government nomination for aircraft apprenticeships rn the Royal Air Force, which are allotted to New Zealand each half-year, must apply to General Headquarters before September 1. Under the scheme at present m operation 12 vacancies are allotted to JNew Zealand each half-year by the English authorities. Applicants must be between the ages of IS and 17, .and a technical or secondary education is expected. If they are successful in passing the educational and medical tests in New Zealand they will be nominated by the New Zealand Government for apprenticeships. An ex-Christchurch Boys' High School pupil, lan D. McDonald, left by the Rangitata on Saturday tor England, where he will take up an apprenticeship which he gained in the last half-yearly allocation.
