Ray, boatswain of the Waikawa, suffered agony for fi,ve days after he was injured during the voyage from New Zealand. The vessel, which arrived here three days overdue, was without a doctor. Ray's shoulder and leg were badly crushed when a roll of newsprint fell on him. He was admitted to the hospital immediately the ship berthed.
