BOWLERS AND LARGER WICKETS ROLLING OF THE PITCHES. LONDON, May 6. The Alarylebone Cricket Club, at its annual meeting, approved the alteration in the laws of cricket with the object of helping bowling on the larger wicket, which has been made compulsory in, first-class matches. The pitch is to be rolled for seven minutes at the beginning of play, and at the end of an innings, instead of for 10 minutes. Sir K. Studd, the retiring president after saying he was looking forward with pleasure to the New Zealand matches, nominated Lord Bridgeman as the new president. The members of the now committee are Sir Kynaston Studd, F. P. Warner, It. Mallett and Lord Aberdare.
