PRISONER ESCAPES.
SALESMAN UNDER ARREST. (Per Press Association). HAMILTON, May 6. A salesman named Augustine William Sullivan, aged 30, who was remanded to Auckland from Wellington yesterday, on a charge of housebreaking, escaped from his escort at ■1 o'clock this morning by jumnine: from the train after it left Frankton Junction.
