SUBMARINE OFFICER'S VIEWS.

2 NEW YORK, March 28. Sir Hubert Wilkins selected John Lundbeck, a veteran American submarine man, a,s quartermaster for the Nautilus. He also revealed that he had received an application for the position from Richard: Schrank. a former German submarine officer, who commanded U-One during the war. The explorer's crew are highly pleased by Schrank's opinion of the Nautilus. He said: "The voyage is eminently practical. I am sure the Nautilus will return safely. I would not want to play with niv'own life, would I?" M. Veme departed for France, saying:"! am proud t/have had a share in the christening of the Nautilus. The vessel" is a reality of my grandfather's dream-boat."
