ATTEMPT TO REFLOAT LUCERNA I \ * (United Press Association—Copyright),
(Received This Day, 9.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. It is believed that the oil-tanker Lucerna, bound for New Zealand with a full cargo of oil, is aground somewhere near Thursday Island. Another wireless message that has been intercepted is to the effect that the Lucerna is in communication with the Aigle station, Singapore. The Ambilin is making an attempt to refloat her to-day.
