, A« Australian aviator, Mr Broadbent, started for Australia'.at 6 a.m. from Haiwvorth. His departure was probably the most lonely and most unobtrusive of any Australian flyer. The only witness of the departure was a National Flying Services engineer, who says that Broadbent took-off without any preliminaries. It is believed that the aviator's first stop will be at Munich, a distance of 500 miles. Broadbent carried an extra petrol tank alongside the cockpit.
