These beautiful dowered Perennials produce an abundance of large, single, semi-double and double dowers, 3 to 5 inches across, of an endless variety of colours, from Maroon and Brightest Scarlet to Flesh Pink, and from Lilac to Purple. AQUILEGIAS. . Long Spurred Hybrids, “The Dancing Fairy F'lowers.” This is the finest group of gardening Aquilegias ever obered to Die public. These jierfectly Hardy Perennials attain a height of Ito 1£ feet. The. dowers are of perfect form, possessing the “long spurred” feature in a very marked degree. Extra Choice Mixed, giving a wonderful variety of choice colours of grand dowers with very long spurs. A really special strain, of this very popular dower. Will thrive in poor soil. Sow in August, and if season is favourable they will bloom the first year.—l /- per packet. ARCTOTIS GRANDIS. It is a Half Hardy Annual, 2 feet high, and should be treated the same as Stocks and Asters. The dowers are Marquerite-like. The colour is a Soft Pearl White, with a Mauve centre, and a narrow Gold Band. The foliage is (so to speak) dusted with a White farina. A real gem. The dowers should be gathered just as they are expanding and are delightful for tables, etc. Should be grown in a sunny spot.—6d per Packet. AURICULA. (Dusty Miller), Mixed. From Prize Stage Flowers, including the Grey, Green and White-edged strams, as well as seifs of the finest fornr- and richest colours. —1 /- per Packet. AMBROSIA. Sweet Scented. / This extraordinary plant has handsome sweet scented foliage, producing graceful feathery dowers of a Purple Brown shade. Its sweet smelling foliage attracts bees for miles around. Height, 4 feet. Half Hardy Biennial. Sow in pots in heat, and transplant October. Makes an ideal greenhouse plant, or would do particularly well in hot districts.—l/- per Packet. GREGO ASTERS. A great improvement on the ordinary type, being more compact and harder —will stand a few degrees of frost. A rapid growing Annual of graceful habit, with finely-cut, tender, Green foliage, which changes to a Rich Russet Crimson in the autumn. Admirable for borders, and for the centre of beds; also makes an -elegant foliage plant for pots in the Conservatory. Height—2 to 3 feet. Sow in open ground in the spring.—6d per Packet. DOUBLE PETUNIA. Burpee’s Fancy Fringed. An excellent, carefully hand-pollenised strain, yielding a large percentage of plants having double, finely fringed flowers. Embraces a splendid variety of colours and many beautiful combinations. The seed of this is extremely costly and requires good care in growing, as the small, backward seedlings with crumpled foliage are the ones that produce the best double blooms. Purchasers of this wonderful seed last season stated that they were more than satisfied. The results shown were more than equal to the description given, both for size, colour and doubleness, the latter -coAiing quite half double. One well-known grower of Prize Petunias stated that he had paid double the price for imported, with not half the results, both for germination and doubleness. —2/6 per Packet. PANSY. Giant Ruffled Masterpiece. Truly giant-size flowers of most striking appearance. The petals have so mueh substance that they are heavily ruffled, giving the appearance of a double flower. The colours are mainly rich, dark shades, bordered, blotched, or marked with ray-like veins of contrasting colours, and it blooms freely as long as the weather is cool. —1/per Packet. CALENDULA. “Radio” Flore Pleno—Hardy Annual. Something really new in Calendulas —a Deep Orange variety with beautifully quilled florets—and it is necessary to see the actual flower to appreciate its delicacy of outline. The colour and formation give an added sheen and warmth of tone that is very attractive. The blooms are globular in shape, and do not show the centre unil at a very advanced stage, lasting the whole of the summer if the seed pods are constantly picked off.
