The following resignations were accepted by the Canterbury Education Board yesterday:—Ashton, Mr H. G. Brown; Longbeach, Miss C. F. Connors ; Methven, Mr H; W. Black. Major A. Armstrong, officer in charge of the Salvation Army training farm, Waotu, Putaruru, is retiring from active work, after having completed 39 years’ service. During Major Armstrong’s regime many hundreds of English boys have passed through the Putarur.ii farm, in addition to a large number of boys in the home.
