MINIATURE RIFLES.
THE ASHBURTON CLUB. The Ashburton Miniature Rifle Club completed its weekly shoot on Saturday night,- when there was a good attendance of members. The weekly trophy shoot resulted as follows: E. R. Truman 77, 79, 79 (3) 238; C. Shearman 76, 79, 73 (10) 238- W. James 77, 75, 75 (10) 237; H. E. Shierlaw 78, 78, 75 (5) 236; R. Childs 74, 76, 71 (10) 231; J. Clayton 76, 72, 66 (14) 228; F. Clark 79, 75, 66 (5), 225. The A grade Hotty Button shoots were-. T. F. Smith 77, F. Clark 78, E. R. Truman 78, D .F. Keir 78, H. E. Shierlaw 78, C. H. Childs 77, R. Braniley 74, A. J. Shepherd 79. B grade Hotty Button: H. Donaldson 77, L. T. McNatty 78, C. Shearman 76, R. Childs 72. C grade Hotty Button: J. Connell 78. R. Clarke 70, E .Jones 73. The first round of the Bullock Shield competition was completed on Saturdav, and the position of the teams are: C. H. Childs’ team 391, L. T. McNatty’s team 389, A. J. Shepherd’s team 388.
