POSTMISTRESS AT ADDINGTON. DEALING WITH A THIEF. (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At the Supreme Court criminal sessions, which opened to-day, Herbert Ormond Lawrence admitted the theft of £Btt from the Addington Post Office on July 30, and was remanded till Friday for sentence. Mr Justice Adams, in his address to the Grand Jury, said the postmistress was certainly most prompt and expeditious in her action and performance. She did a very smart piece of work.
