CHILD FOUND BY ROADSIDE. SUFFERING FROM CONCUSSION. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Lost for several hours yesterday afternoon, James Eccles, aged four, who lives in Wellington Road, . Paekakariki, was discovered at 6.30 p.m. lving near the roadside toward the foot of Paekajcariki Hill. He was noticed by a passing motorist and taken to a hotel, where he was found to be suffering from injuries to his head and concussion. How the injuries were received is not clearly understood. Two theories are suggested. One is that the child fell on the hillside, and the other is that !:e was struck by a motor-ear. The boy was taken to Wellington Hospital, where his condition early this morning was reported to be satisfactory. STRUCK BY MOTOR-CAR. MRS E. F. HEALY INJURED. WELLINGTON, This 'Day. When Mr E. F. Healy, M.P.. and Mrs Healy were crossing Customhouse Quay on "Saturday evening the latter was struck by a motor-car. As far as is known, she is not severely injured.

MAN'S SKULL FRACTURED.

FOUND ON WELLINGTON STREET.

WELLINGTON, This Day. Almost at the same time as Mrs Healy was injured, or shortly before, a man was discovered lying on the road in Jeryois Quay, near the Queen's Wharf gates. He was sent to hospital with a fractured skulk, and later identified as Mr John Mclnnes. Late on Sunday night his condition was reported to be serious. In the case of Mr Mclnnes the police are anxious to hear from the driver of a three-seater car, painted yellow, which passed along the Quay about that time. EXPIRES IN THE STREET, ON LEAVING, THE MAGISTRATE'S COURT. WELLINGTON, This Day. Mr D. G. Binder, of "White Rock" station, East Coast, collapsed at the corner of Bunny and Featherston streets, and died shortly afterwards. Death was due to heart failure. MAN'S THROAT CUT. WELLINGTON, August 17. A man named Samuel McColl, who resided with his wife at 37, Rintoul Street, was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon suffering from a cut throat. The wound was evidently inflicted with a razor, and McColl's condition is reported as being serious.
