MINIATURE RIFLES.
THE ASHBURTON CLUB. The Asliburton Miniature Rifle Club completed a five-shoot trophy competition on Saturday. There was a good attendance of members. The best scores were: T. F. Smith 78, 79, 79, 77, 79 (3)—395; D. F. Keir 77, 79, 79, 79, 78 (3)—395; L. T. McNatty 77. 78, 80, 78, 78 (3)—"394; E. R. Truman 79, 78, 77, 75, 75 (3)—387. The A grade hpttv button scores were: F. Clark 79, A. J. Shepherd 79, E. R. Truman 78, D. F. Keir 78, T. F. Smith 77, R. Bromley 77, H. Shierlaw 78, C. H. Childs 70. v The following were the B grade hotty button scores:—C. Shearman 80. L. T. McNatty 80, H. Donaldson 76. The club has commenced its yearly shoot for the, Bullock Shield three teams competing—the captain's, vicecaptain's, and secretary's. THE SEAFIELD CLUB. Members of the Seafield Miniature Ritie Club fired a match for a trophy presented by Mr J. Bradley. H. Greer Avon the match, with L. Scott runnerup. Details were as follow, the handicap being given first: T. Greer 9-51, 8-SG, 7-56, 4-55, 4-55. L. Scott 4-59, 3-58, 2-58, 0-59, 0-55. W. Johnson 12-52, 11-56, 10.54, 5-50. M.
