CANADIAN WHEAT.

PROVINCIAL MINISTRY'S STAND. (United Press Association—Copyright.) WINNIPEG, August 15. The Premier of Manitoba (Mr John Bracken) predicted that the Provincial Government would not guarantee advances on the 1930 wheat crop unless a more serious situation developed than was at present apparent. The Premier, on his return from Eastern Canada, where negotiations had been completed covering all advances for the remaining portion of the 1929 crop, stated: "The provincial Governments entered the picture last year in an attempt to avoid an economic crisis, which would affect not only the farmer but every other business interest."
