SIX-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT, That interest in hockey is 'being fully maintained in Ashburton was apparent from the very large number of people who congregated on the Domain top ground this afternoon to

witness the annual six-a-side tournament for the ladies' teams. The standard of play was high and the spectators were kept interested throughout. Results up to 3 o'clock were as follow: Senior Grade. First round —Mount Somers B J, Hinds A nil; Rakaia B defeated Tinwald by default. Junior Grade. First round —Methven A 5, Lowcliffe B 1; Lauriston B defeated Wakanui by default. Second round —High School §, Mayfield A nil; Rakaia A 3, Wakanui A 2; Lowcliffe A H, Methven B 1 • Hinds A I£, Baring Square 1; Lowcliffe 02, Hinds B nil: Lauriston A2, Old Girls 1.
