BOWLER TAKES TEN WICKETS. FEAT OF LAST YEAR REPEATED. (United Press Association— Copyright.) (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, August- 15. Freeman' (Kent), who took all 10 wickets against Lancashire last year, repeated his feat against Essex. The only first-class cricketer to equal this has been V. Walker at the Oyal in 1859 and at Manchester in 1865. In the first innings he took 10 for 53, and in the second sjx for 41. Playing for Gloucester against Surrey, Parker took eight for 38 and seven for 53. Dacre (formerly of Auckland) scored 92. Fender took five for 61. . _ ~ , For Nottingham against Northants, Whysall scored 248. . Against Glamorganshire, Yorkshire in the first innings made 284 for three and then declared (Holmes 130, Sutcliffe not out 132). , For Lancashire against Leicester, &. Tyldesley was not out 151, of a total of 292 for six. In Leicester's second innings R. Tyldesley took eight for 35. THE FIFTH TEST. .. GOOD WEATHER PROSPECTS. LONDON, August 15. It is a fine, clear night, and experts predict fairly good weather for the period of the fifth Test, with only occasional showers. Parker's form against Surrey, when he took in all 15 wickets for 91 runs, combined with the likelihood of unsettled weather for several days, makes his selection for the fifth Test practically certain.
