brings back a bride. LONDON, July 1. The fiancee of the Bishop of Ballarat (Right Rev. P. C. T. Crick) whose engagement has just been announced, is Miss Marion Jellicorse, only daughter of Major and Mrs Jellicorse, of Densworth, Chichester. Miss Jellicorse is Avell-known m county society, and is a keen golfer. The' Bishop interviewed said that the wedding arrangements were not yet complete. He declined to say whethci the wedding would be held in England. His fiancee, he said, had not been to Australia, and , was keenly looking forward to seeing it for the first time. Tall, fair, and athletic looking, witn a humourous twinkle in her blue eyes, Miss Jellicorse said that the first meeting with the Bishop which she remembered was just before the war, when he was Chaplain at Sandhurst slfbrtly before be went to the front.*., “I did not see much of him until 1929,” she added, “when as Bishon of Rockhampton he spent a year in England. Neither he nor I ever had any ideas of romance until a few weeks ago. We are now planning to marry early in September. I have* not been further than Italv and am looking forward most excitedly to niv first glimpse o ; Australia, where I do not know a soul.” The Jellicorse family sprang from the same ancestors as the Jellicoes. Miss Jellicorse is an experienced church worker and a member of the Parochial Council of Funtingdon Church.
