South Rakaia—Back Track £l5O, electric lights £88; total £238. Upper Ashburton—Lauriston - BanHill road £l7O, Forks Road £IBO, Lagmbor Road £650, electric lights £loo— less £250. Total £BSO. Wakamii—lSealield Road £250, electric lights £10; total £260. The total riding expenditure is £4170. Rates Struck in Each Riding. The County Council yesterday de- ; cided to strike a rate on the capital value of the rateable properties in each riding for the year commenced April 1, 1930, and ending March 31, 1931, as follow: Ashburton, Jcl in the £; Mount Hutt, 15/32nds of a penny in the £ ; Mount Somers, 13/32nds of a penny in the £ ; Rangitata, outlying portion, £d in the £, Coldstream Road District f portion, fd in the £; South Rakaia, 7/16ths of a penny in the £; Upper S Ashburton Id in the £; Wakanui, f 7/16ths of a penny in the £. 1
