CHAMPIONSHIP SPRINT. (Per Press Association.) WHAKATANE, April 22. A New Zealand championship 120 yards sprint was inaugurated' at the Bay of Plenty athletic sports meeting yesterday. There were seven aspirants for the honour; and after a keen contest J. A. Maloney, of Paeroa, gained first place, with J. Pennington of Rotorua, and D. Molesworth, of \\airoa, second and third respectively, close up. Time, 12 l-ssec.
