HOTELS AND SHOPS DESTROYED

BRISBANE, This Day, A disastrous lire in the small village of Jericho, near Rockiiampton, early this morning, destroyed two hotels and three shops. James McDonald, a«ed 53, was burned to death in the Queen's Hotel. Another boarder "Walter Muston, aged 46, who leaped from the balcony with his clothes in flames, was so seriously burned that he died later at the hospital. The damage is estimated at £IO,UUU.
