There was a good attendance. The track was on the nard cide. T'.ie totalisator handled £12,963, against £13,170 last year. Masterton Cup Handicap', of 250 scvs; one mile and a quarter.—l Historic (B. H. Morris) 1, 6 Stanchion 2, 3 Grecian 3. Won by half a length. Time 2.6 4-5. Flying Handicap, of 175 sovs; six furlongs.—2 Mandv (L. Dalv) 1, 1 Panther 2, 5 Melissa 3. Won by a length. Time, 1.13 2-5. Grandstand Handicap, of 130 sovs; seven furlongs.—6 Dainty Ways (R. J. THREE CRACKS COMPETE. SYDNEY, April 4. Racing circles are looking forward to the meeting of the three cracks, Amounis, Nightmarch, and Chicle, in the weight-for-age event, the Rawson Stakes, at Rosehill, to-morrow. HECTOR GRAY. AUSTRALIAN LICENSE REFUSED SYDNEY, April 4. The Australian Jockey Club advises having received Hector Gray's application for a, jockey license and states that it has not been granted. No reasons have been furnished.
