March Handicap—3 Rose Audo scr 1, 5 Bright Light scr 2, 1 White Siatin> scr 3. Scr: Tonic, Lady Fan. A Von by half a length, the third horse two lengths away. Time, 3.54. Armstrong Handicap—l Jean McElwvn 1, 5 Athalone 2, 4 Harold Thorpe 3. Scr: Talent, Genuine. AA’on by a short head, the third horse a neck away. Time, 4.33 4-5. AVaiwetu Handicap.—4 Purser 24yds 1, 0 Wild Voyage scr 2, 1 Kelp 12yds 3. AVon by a neck; half a length between second and third. Scratched: Fair Wave, Zella. Times—3.4s 2-5, 3.45 4-5, 3.47 1-5. OAMARU RACES. OAMARU, This Day. The first day of the Oamaru Racing Club’s meeting was held in good weather. The course was fast, and there was a large attendance. Results:— Hurdles—s AVhiffler 1, 1 Gayoma 2, 2 Gala Day 3. Scratched: Rangitahi, Red Heather, Traho, Double Soult. Won by threequarters of a length, a head between second and third. Time, 2.44.
