TWO STOWAWAYS.

MEN FROM AUSTRALIA. FINES OF FIVE POUNDS EACH. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. That there is an impression in Australia that it is easier to get employment in New Zealand than there, was further attested to-day when two stowaways appeared in Court after coming from Sydney on the Maunganui. Each was fined £o, in default 14 days’. Both had gone to Sydney from Melbourne, one saying he walked. It was explained that the shipping companies were taking great precautions, but dpspite their vigilance it was found, after the vessels put to sea, that there were stowaways on hoard.
