SUPERANNUATION FUNDS. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, March 7. The Prime Minister has issued the following statement:— ••As pointed out m the last Budget, the financial position of the State superannuation funds, i.e., the Public Service, railways, and teachers' hinds.' is far from satisfactory. In . accordance with the proposal contained ill the Budget; it lias now been decided to set a committee to investigate the position and report to the Government on the state of the funds, and generally what action is necessary to place superannuation for the (Public Services on a sound and satisfactory footing.
