ASHBURTON CLUB COMPETITIONS The progress results of handicap and championship competitions in connection with the Ashburtou Bowling Club to date are as follow: — Champion Singles.—Third round: Higgins beat Percy beat, McEachen, Madden beat Flanagan, McLachlan beat Sawle, Doherty beat A. Lane, W. Lane a bye. Champion Pairs.—Second round : Doherty and McLachlan beat Higgins and Easterbrook, A. Lane and W. Lane beat Compton and Acton, Sawle and Flanagan heat Buxton and Dunn, Kissane and Percy beat Rands and Bain, Martin and'O'Brien beat McElhinney and Mactier. Handicap Doubles. —Second round : McElhinney and Percy beat Meredith and Christmas, Feathcrston and Easterbrook beat Martin and O'Brien, Willis and Buxton beat Moore and Doherty, Flanagan and Mactier beat Mitchell and Woods, Hardy and Higgins beat Amos and W. Lane.
Handicap Two-bowl Doubles.—Second round: Acton and Higgins beat McElhinney and Christmas, Bain and Mactier beat McShorry and O'Brien, Woods and Milsom beat Martin and Buxton, Amos and W. Lane beat Sawle and Flanagan, Watson and Easterbrook a bye.
