AUCKLAND WOOL SALE. PROSPECTS FOR TO-DAY. (Special to the “Guardian.”) AUCKLAND, January 20. The second wool sale takes place tomorrow morning, the catalogue on this occasion being limited to 20,000 bales or thereabouts. Buyers, after valuing the clip, say that the quality* of the wool is quite good, notwithstanding a fairly high percentage of stained wools, but they complain that it has not been put up for sale in an attractive form. This they attribute to the continued drop in values and the fact that farmers do not find it worth while to exercise the same care as formerly. It was also stated that the fact that the next London wool sales will also open to-morrow may influence buyers considerably.
