THE WEATHER.
NORTH-WEST CONDITIONS PREVAIL The north-west gale experienced yesterday dropped early last evening, but sprang up again during the night, and had abated considerably by this morning. A blustering wind was again experienced this morning, but moderated in velocity during the early part ol the afternoon.
The barometer reading at 9. .‘lO o'clock this morning showed little difference compared with yesterday. I'be extreme temperatures yesterday was 68 and ‘19.6, as against 78.5 and 18.6 on .Sunday.
TO-DAY'S FORECAST. The following weather forecast was issued to-day:— Indications are for westerly winds moderate to strong to a gale, later backing by west to south and dcei easing. Heavv rain in back country, wi til flooded'rivers elsewhere. There is a prosnoot of lair to cloudy vonthoi later. Shortly the weather will become colder. Shortly barometer rising.
