An application will he made at once to the Supreme Court for a writ of mandamus to compel the Mid-Canter-bury Licensing Committee to hear applications for licenses by four Ashburton hotels. As the application to theSupreme Court is regarded hs “an extraordinary remedy,” it should N bo called on soon, taking precedence of other Court business.
